Overview

A BOOK OF ANGELS tells not only the extraordinary true stories of present-day encounters with angels, but also traces the understanding and study of angels through history and in different cultures. Discover what angels look like, whom they chose to visit, how they enter our lives, and so much more.

Believed to be ministering spirits or divine messengers, angels are a part of every culture. From the earliest times, they have fascinated, enlightened, and inspired. Burnham traces the cultural history of angels and their significance to--and relationships with--humans throughout the ages in this unique and beautifully illustrated book.
