Although it will have great appeal as a bookstore item, libraries, too, may want to have this collection of teddy bear stories written by some of the subject's favorite proponents, among them Jane Hissey, Else Minarik, and, of course, Michael Bond. Many of the illustrations that accompany the tales are the original pictures. For instance, Maurice Sendak's 1957 artwork illustrates "Little Bear's Wish," looking as fresh as it did when originally published. This handsome edition features 14 stories, each with memorable art.
