About the Author, Bob Lingard



MARTIN MILLS is Associate Professor in the School of Education, University of Queensland Australia. His publications include Challenging Violence in Schools: An Issue of Masculinities, Leading Learning: Making Hope Practical in Schools and Teachers Making a Difference: Productive Pedagogies, Assessment and Performance.

WAYNE MARTINO is Associate Professor Faculty of Education, The University of Western Ontario, Canada. His publications include Gendered Fictions and From the Margins and most recently Being Normal is the Only Thing to be: Boys and Girls Talk About Their Experiences of School.

ROBERT LINGARD is Bell Chair in Education at Edinburgh University, UK. He has published extensively and his books include Gender and Changing Educational Management and Men Engaging Feminisms. He is editor of the journal Discourse: Studies in the Cultural Politics of Education and is on the editorial board of five other international journals in education.
