This is a 63-page manual for brain dissection with 23 figures covering two main divisions: surface anatomy of the brain and dissection of the brain, with emphasis on the association pathways, basal ganglia and other deep nuclei related to auditory pathways. These are followed by an appendix about obtaining brains from cadavers. Dr. Webster's brain dissection manual can also be used as an introductory atlas for brain anatomy for students in the field of communication. The manual covers almost all the gross anatomy of the brain except for the detailed structure of the brain stem, which helps its concise and simple character without omission of any important details for its main audience of students and professionals in the field of communication science. The manual includes 23 full-page figures with text on the opposite page describing stepwise study of the brain surface anatomy and deep dissection. Clear labeling of the figures of the serial dissecting steps corresponding to the text on the opposite page helps understanding the three-dimensional anatomy of the brain besides rapid reference during dissection. The two major divisions of the book cover all the relevant facts of neuroanatomy in a simple, concise, and comprehensive manner for the students of speech and communication.
