Synopsis

Attempts to link basic science with clinical practice in mental health have not been very successful, admits Meier (counseling and school psychology, State U. of New York-Buffalo). Still, he tries a new approach that makes the thoughts, decisions, and judgements of clinicians explicit and uses them both to support and to question their work. Annotation c.
