Published every six months, in March and September, this report on easily-searchable CD-ROM provides notes on prescribing, and details of all medicines on the UK market, with special reference to their uses, doses, cautions, interactions and side effects. Other details provided include pack sizes and costs. It is intended for use by prescribers in the NHS, as well as by pharmacists, nurses and other health-care professionals. The eBNF is sold on subscription. The software is designed to time out after the subscription period ends. eBNF is available with an electronic version of "Drug and Therapeutics Bulletin" from March 1997. The joint porduction contains the current eBNF and five years of "Drug and Therapeutics Bulletin". The joint production is available from the Consumers Association.
