Building Fluency, Grade 5

Building Fluency contains everything teachers need to improve students' reading fluency, one of five essential reading components identified in Reading First. Transparencies and assessment tools are included. The selections are engaging and humorous.

Building Fluency, Grade 5 includes the following:

* 13 poems and limericks; three of which relate to U.S. history
* 28 riddles, jokes, and tongue twisters
* 14 nonfiction selections, seven of which relate to U.S. history
* 5 fiction selections
* 4 readers' theater selections.
