Library Journal
The title conjures up modern, minimal work areas, however Mack shows with color photographs a number of different design styles. She covers all aspects of setting up a work space at home, including planning, equipment, furniture, storage, and lighting as well as innovative ways to organize all the accouterments needed for the job. A resource list of furnishings, trade associations, and computer helplines is provided. Although Neal Zimmerman's Home Office Design (LJ 9/15/96) and Home Offices (LJ 1/98) continue to be excellent comprehensive guides on setting up a home office, this book, with its addition of feng shui and color therapy, should be purchased where there is a continued interest.
