About the Author, Marshall B. Romney

Dr. Andrew Schiff is an Associate Professor of Accounting at Towson University. He received his Ph.D. and M.B.A. from Rutgers University, an M.S. in Accounting from the State University of New York at Albany, and a B.A. from Colgate University. He is also a Certified Public Accountant. Prior to joining Towson University, Dr. Schiff worked for more than a decade in public accounting and as a financial executive, holding a variety of positions including internal audit manager, assistant controller and controller in organizations ranging in size from $6 million to over $600 million per year. He has published in numerous academic and professional journals, and has authored, co-authored or edited various accounting textbooks and software training manuals.
