About the Author, Christopher A. Kearney

Christopher Kearney is currently a professor at University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He received his Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the State University of New York at Albany and completed his internship at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. His specific areas of research interest are clinical child psychology; internalizing problems with a particular emphasis on panic disorder, other fear and anxiety disorders, and school refusal behavior; issues of classification, assessment, treatment, and exploration of functional variables that impinge on each. Additional research interests include the exploration of environmental variables that influence the development of adaptive and maladaptive behavior, and issues of choice availability and quality of life among persons with severe disabilities.
