Synopsis
This book is designed as a companion volume to the Introductory Guide to EC Competition Law and Practice by the same author, also published by Hart Publishing. Originally published in 1996, it has now been revised and reissued to meet demand among law students and practitioners for a convenient compilation of the leading authorities in this complex area of law and policy. The bulk of the text is made up of extracts from Commission Decisions, Opinions of the Advocates General at the ECJ, and judgments of the ECJ and CFI. These are supplemented by extracts from EC legislation and, very helpfully, comments, notes and questions by the author.

The case book is intended to be used in conjunction with a textbook, and Korah (competition law, U. College London) says it does not necessarily have to be his own. He discusses a few major cases at considerable length, severely truncates others to save space, and in three cases includes only questions for students who are prepared to find the judgement text themselves in law reports or on the Web. No date is mentioned for the first edition. There is no index or bibliography. Distributed in the US by ISBS. Annotation c. Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
