A few years ago, to help publicize an event called "A Gathering of Angels" which benefited a project to stop violence against children, San Francisco author and philanthropist Pa Montandon asked many notables to sketch angels and write about them. To her surprise and delight, the response to her request was phenomenal. The collection was viewed with great interest and was unusually successful, and Montandon decided to spread the word about angels.The list of contributors to Celebrities and Their Angels includes, Oprah Winfrey, Whoopi Goldberg, Jay Leno, Mikhail Gorbachev, Reverend Billy Graham, Burt Reynolds, and dozens more - fifty-two in all. Accompanying each picture is text supplied by the celebrity, quotes from the bible, or poetic verses.
