Overview

Cesar Pelli was born in 1926 in Tucuman, Argentina, and heads one of the most renowned architectural offices in the United States. This book presents more than twenty of Pelli's current projects in America, Asia, and Europe. It documents - among others - such diverse solutions as Edificio Republica in Buenos Aires, Zurich Tower in Den Haag, the National Museum of Contemporary Art in Osaka, Washington National Airport, NTT Headquarters in Tokyo, and of course the famed Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur. In their diversity, these buildings show the extraordinary range and versatility of this architect. In four chapters, the author carefully analyzes Pelli's design approaches and philosophy.
