Robert Sabuda fans will appreciate the ingenious use of his paper engineering from The Christmas Alphabet in the mini-pop-up Christmas, which culls from Alphabet only the nine letters of the title, to make a most elegant little package. Children's Literature - Marilyn Courtot

If you are familiar with The Christmas Alphabet, then you will want to obtain your very own miniature pop-up entitled Christmas. This is a pop-up book that will fit in your hand. Most of the pop-ups are white on solid backgrounds with just a touch of color for emphasis such as a flame from a candle or Santa's red suit. The pages all lead up to the final spread where Santa with arms stretched wide holds a banner that says "Merry Christmas." I was particularly attracted to the snowflake and the angel with the silver wings. The artwork is deceptively simple as are the pop-ups. Any child or adult would find this an extra special treat in a Christmas stocking.
