Synopsis

Christmasville is a town situated on a 4 x 8 foot model train platform in which only one month exists and Christmas is in perpetual motion. Each year, buildings and homes in this cozy town are rearranged but the town is continually decorated in yuletide trimmings. But what of autumn, summer, spring? 14-year old Mary Jane Higgins sets out and determines to resolve the enigma of Christmasville.

About the Author, Michael Dutton

Writing since the age of eleven, Christmasville, represents the premier novel of Michael Dutton. "In Christmasville, I wanted to achieve a seemingly simple, carefully tailored objective: I wanted to tell a story - as engaging for a sixteen-year-old as for a reader, sixty." Slated for publication in late 2008 is the companion novel, Finding Christmasville (Madeleine's Tale). The author's short story, "The Notion of Zero", is currently featured in Hopewell Publications' BEST NEW WRITING 2007 anthology.
