Cinco De Mayo: Holiday Celebrations

Gr 2-3-Information about the Chinese calendar, how the holiday began, and some of the activities that occur during the celebration such as the Lantern Festival are highlighted in the first book. Cinco de Mayo includes facts about parades, food, dances, and games, and the war between Mexico and France is simply explained. Each paragraph of text faces a vivid photo that shows the people of the respective culture celebrating the holiday.
