Class in Modern Britain

Ken Roberts argues that Britain is far from becoming a classless society, although there are important and fascinating changes occurring to the size and composition of all the main classes. Drawing on sociological theories and a range of research evidence, he takes the reader through key debates about class schemes, economic change, social mobility and the relationship between class and politics, as well as examining in depth the characteristics of the different classes in contemporary Britain.
