About the Author, I. Edward Alcamo

About the Authors I. Edward Alcamo, PhD is a Distinguished Professor of Microbiology at the State University of New York at Farmingdale. He has taught at the college level for 30 years, specializing in microbiology for nursing and other allied health science students. Kelly Schweitzer received her PhD from Indiana University School of Medicine in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. She is currently a postdoctoral fellow at Indiana University School of Medicine in the Pathology Dept. Her research focuses on the molecular biology of Alzheimer's Disease.
