About the Author, American Sport Education Program Staff

Coaching Youth Soccer was written by the American Sport Education Program (ASEP) in conjunction with Sam Snow, director of coaching education for US Youth Soccer.

As a coach at the club, high school, collegiate, and Olympic development levels since 1974, Snow has worked as a US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program coach since 1979, as the director of coaching for the Louisiana Soccer Association (1993-2003), and as state staff coach with the Florida Youth Soccer Association (1979-1993). He was the men's head soccer coach at Florida Southern College from 1980 to 1993 and has been a member of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America since 1979.

Snow earned a master's degree in physical education from the University of South Florida, and he holds A and Y licenses as well as a goalkeeper level 2 certificate from the United States Soccer Federation.

Snow resides in Frisco, Texas.
