Synopsis
The western landscape photography of William Henry Jackson (1843-1942) won him lasting fame. In this stand-alone sequel to his Colorado 1870-2000, photographer John Fielder juxtaposes his own recent photos of scenes portrayed in Jackson's pictures, thus creating one of the most breathtaking and sometimes disturbing then-and-now books we have ever seen. Each of Fielder's photographs is a meticulous re-creation of the site and angle of Jackson's original.
