About the Author, Barnett D. Laschever, Andi Marie Cantele

Barnett D. Laschever was Connecticut's director of tourism for more than 17 years, and, for more than 30 years, has been a travel editor and writer for such newspapers as the Hartford Courant, the Hartford Times, and the New York Herald-Tribune. For three years he was managing editor for Fodor's Guides, and he is also the author of five books for children. He lives in Goshen, Connecticut. Andi Marie Cantele is the author of New Jersey: An Explorer's Guide, Backroad Bicycling in Connecticut, Backroad Bicycling in Western Massachusetts, and Backroad Bicycling in New Hampshire. She lives in Litchfield, Connecticut. She is a contributing editor to the Yankee Magazine Travel Guide to New England, and her work has appeared in Best Places to Stay in New England, Bark magazine, and other publications. She lives in Litchfield, Connecticut.
