Overview

For ten remarkable days in June 1978, Lawrence Grobel spent every waking minute with Marlon Brando and his family on Brando's Tahitian island, Tetiaroa. It was the first time in 25 years that Brando had granted an extended interview to anyone. It was clearly worth the wait. The very private Brando discusses many topics, including acting, women, Native Americans, and corporate America. Also included is Grobel's account of the murder of the lover of Brando's daughter, Cheyenne, by his first son, Christian.

Library Journal

Grobel met with the extremely private Brando in 1978. A portion of those sessions initially appeared in Playboy but are reprinted here in full. This also contains a new foreword, which rounds off Brando's story, plus an updated list of his films. Copyright 2000 Cahners Business Information.
