Overview

Corneliu Corposu's intellectual integrity and insights into Romanian politics are of exceptional importance for assessing and understanding the realities faced by an East European country caught in the whirl of totalitarianisms while abandoned by their democratic "allies." Affiliated with the Romanian peasant party, Coposu was incarcerated and later exiled by the communist regime only to resume his Romanian political career after their collapse. This volume is both a political testament to Corposu's work and a record of his perceptions of Greater Romania during the twentieth century.
