Library Journal

This basic, practical, but beautifully--almost poetically--written book about marriage as a process, from falling in love to developing true love, from ceremony to intimacy, reads easily and contains much wisdom. Written by a clinical, marriage, and family therapist, it discusses children, communication, conflict, building a relationship, and the ``walls'' that hinder deeper growth, also showing how these walls can be dealt with so that life, love, wholeness, and one's relationship to God (or Higher Power) can flourish. A wonderful, wise book for those considering marriage, for newlyweds, and for those in mature marriages. This is highly recommended for all public and seminary libraries.
