From the Publisher

Wow--your new methods text just landed here today, and I've been reading in it off and on all afternoon. Really a remarkable, big-time accomplishment: a thorough, comprehensive, fair-minded, theoretically informed methods text that is--I can't believe I'm writing this--actually interesting and engaging! The text itself, the 'highlights', the images--the whole thing works beautifully as a student text and as a statement of where methods are and where they are going. And needless to say, unlike any other texts I've seen, it doesn't just nod to qual methods--it actually understands the logic of them. Again, really great stuff--and I've already emailed my young colleague who teaches methods here to tell her she must adopt it! More broadly, I can assure you I'll be pushing it whenever/wherever I can... - Jeff Ferrell
