Christopher Smith is the 36-year-old married dad of a 7-year-old boy, a 2-year-old girl and a baby girl. He's the news editor at The Leaf-Chronicle, in Clarksville, Tenn. He previously worked as a copy editor at The Tallahassee (Fla.) Democrat and at the Daily Home in Talladega, Ala. Christopher received a master's degree in English from Auburn University in 1996, his bachelor's from Auburn in 1991, and went to high school in Haddon Township, N.J., Class of 1987. He was born in Athens, Ala. "Daddy On Board" has run weekly since May 2001.
