Children's Literature
The premise is simple but the message is loaded, and some people will be protesting the inclusion of this book in school and public libraries. This family consists of two dads and what appears to be a cute young toddler. They do all the things any pair of parents would dothey play games indoors and outdoors, they paint pictures and bake a pie, and they make music both on a guitar and by banging on pots. Daddy knows how to sew while Papa teaches the toddler how to throw. Daddy fixes tea and they all have a tea party which includes a toy bear. By the end of the day, two worn out parents are sitting back to back against a tree while this toddler is still going strong. A very cheerful and engaging book that will find a home with a special group of parents. Reviewer: Marilyn Courtot
