Henry Adams (1838—1918), a direct descendant of former presidents John Adams and John Quincy Adams, was an accomplished historian and writer who brought together his vast knowledge of art, philosophy, culture, history, and literature in his famous spiritual autobiography, The Education of Henry Adams. Earl N. Harbert is a scholar and independent writer and editor specializing in American literature and culture. He lives in Naples, Florida.
