About the Author, Chris Grover

Christopher Grover received degrees in Creative Writing and Film from Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts. He's worked as a technical writer, advertising copywriter and product publicist for more than 25 years. His freelance articles have been published in a variety of magazines from Fine Homebuilding to CD-ROM World. Chris's latest project is launching Bolinas Road Creative, an agency that helps small businesses promote their products and services. He is also the author of Word 2007: The Missing Manual, and co-author of Digital Photography: The Missing Manual.

Barbara Brundage is the author of Photoshop Elements 6: The Missing Manual, an Adobe Community Expert, and a member of Adobe's prerelease groups for Elements 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8. She's been teaching people how to use Photoshop Elements since it first came out in 2001. Barbara first started using Elements to create graphics for use in her day job as a harpist, music publisher, and arranger. Along the way, she joined the large group of people finding a renewed interest in photography thanks to digital cameras. If she can learn to use Elements, you can, too!

The Barnes & Noble Review
What do you need to know about digital photography right now, to make your next shot perfect? What have you always wondered? Digital Photography: The Missing Manual is uncannily good at anticipating and answering both kinds of questions.

What quick steps will give you pro-quality composition? Which camera features can help you avoid dreaded “shutter lag”? What’s the easiest way to make slide shows or shrink photos for convenient emailing? How can you save time when you’re scanning old prints? How do you get the most out of flickr? Should your next digital camera be a DSLR? How do you fix redeye, contrast, color, exposure problems? What free software manipulates RAW files, and why do you care? Which $25 mini-tripod can be strapped to fence posts and tree limbs? Browse this book: As with all the Missing Manuals we’ve seen, there’s something valuable on almost every page.
