Synopsis
This book/CD-ROM package is a self-instructional learning tool designed to simplify clinical calculations. Using the method of dimensional analysis, material is presented in a step-by-step format. After a math review, chapters cover drug measures, reading medication labels and syringe calibrations, medication administration systems, dosage calculation using dimensional analysis, dosage calculation from body weight and body surface area, intravenous calculations, and pediatric medication calculations. There are many worked examples and quizes. The CD-ROM offers graphical explanations of dimensional analysis.
