About the Author, Philip Dew

Philip Dew has over 30 years' experience of living and working in the Middle East and first visited Jordan in 1974. Having worked initially in banking he has been for over 20 years an independent business development consultant, in which role he has undertaken a wealth of assignments throughout the region for clients from across the world, and brings to this publication a broad knowledge of the overall business environment in Jordan.

Anthony Shoult is GMB's Middle East Series Editor. He is also Consultant Editor for the third edition of Doing Business with Saudi Arabia due to be published later in 2005. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants and Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing. He has over 20 years' experience in management consulting, as well as extensive regional and sectoral experience in the Middle East. His main area of specialisation is the provision of strategic marketing advice to international organisations involved in industrial markets. Since 1991, he has worked on over 50 strategic marketing and project feasibility assignments in Saudi Arabia and other GCC countries. Anthony has also worked extensively in the Far East and South East Asia, Western and Eastern Europe, Scandinavia, North and Central America and the Indian sub-continent.

Legal Editor Susan Ellis Wild has been a practicing attorney since 1982, when she graduated with honors from George Washington University Law School. She is a litigator who is admitted to practice in several states, and frequently serves as an independent arbitrator/mediator of cases at the request of courts and private parties. She is the co-author of the Unofficial Guide(R) to Getting a Divorce, 2nd Edition (Wiley, 2005), which she wrote with her ex-husband. She is currently President of the Bar Association of Lehigh County, Pennsylvania.
