Synopsis

Carver (business administration, Stonehill College) and Nash (psychology, Stonehill College) supplement an introductory undergraduate statistics course with a set of self-paced exercises and a CD-ROM of data files. Each learning session addresses a statistical issue or need, rather than a particular command or menu in the software. The sessions follow a traditional sequence, making the book compatible with many texts. Questions and challenges engage students in the processes of statistical reasoning.
