Synopsis

The little guy wins out in the end in this cheery romp abounding with puppies just begging for toddlers’ attention.

Children's Literature

Sometimes being small has its advantages. Domino is the smallest puppy among his five friends. He cannot jump as high or run as fast as they can. When a red ball bounces into their midst they all give chase. The others all outrun and out-jump poor little Domino, but in the surprise ending, he comes up a winner. So those who may not be as big as their playmates or classmates should take heart—size can work for or against you, and in this case it was an advantage. The illustrations are mainly in soft pastels and have a slightly gauzy look with limited details. Part of the "Super Sturdy Picture Book" series.
