Jennifer Bullock - Children's Literature

Based on the TV series "Dora the Explorer," this is a collection of seven of Dora's interactive adventures. Readers are encouraged to participate in each story by helping to read the map, count, repeat key phrases, etc. as Dora makes her way to her destination. Dora and her readers return a wishing star to the sky, return library books, collect ingredients to bake a birthday cake, and more. Spanish words are including within context so that readers can easily infer the translation. At the end of the book there is Spanish word guide that lists 24 words and phrases used in the stories, their English translation and the proper pronunciation. Dora fans will gladly say "hola!" to this character-based collection. 2003, Simon Spotlight/Nick Jr, Ages 4 to 8.
