Gr 4-8-This instructional manual is done in an easy, cartoonlike style. Chapters discuss putting the different shapes together, how to create character through details, how to show motion, how to draw foals and ponies, and ideas for finishing touches. A model illustration with clearly labeled anatomy is a helpful addition. The author's friendly, encouraging tone provides support for young artists' efforts, and the hints and tips will help youngsters organize themselves even before they begin.
