Synopsis

The duck is back in another rollicking novelty book that kids will enjoy for hours on end. This time, our familiar duck insists he is not afraid of the dark...but please don't turn the lights off! Complete with a light switch that lights up and makes an audible CLICK when pressed, kids will roll with laughter as they turn the light on and off until the duck finally admits his fears are unfounded!

Children's Literature

Some kids are afraid of the dark and Duck claims that he is not. Well, when the light is turned out kids learn the truth—Duck is afraid, Why? He thinks there are monsters under the bed. Of course there are none. The gimmick with this book is a switch that kids can turn on and off (a light switch). It will be fine until the battery wears out, but with this book it can actually be replaced. Once the lights are out and we think Duck is ready to go to sleep, he makes one more request. It is a book that may help allay fears for kids who are afraid of the dark or give some others more ideas for stalling final "lights out." Reviewer: Marilyn Courtot
