Dying In God s Hands is 152-page hardcover book that provides keen insights into the hearts and minds of the dying. It is based on a dozen or more interviews with terminally ill hospice patients, in which they share their hopes, dreams, fears and needs. The majority of the interviews provide evidence that faith in God and belief in the hereafter are the greatest strengths of the dying. Designed to comfort the dying and their loved ones, the book also contains a section of prayers and prose from all major world religions.

CAMILLE PAVY CLAIBOURNE, RN, PhD, is a nationally recognized expert in nursing and management, a healthcare consultant and a former board president of Hospice of Acadiana, based in Lafayette, Louisiana. She is an adjunct professor at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette for the MBA and nursing graduate programs.

She holds a PhD in human and organization development, with emphasis on thanatology, the study of death and dying, and a master s in organizational behavior, both from Fielding Graduate University. She earned a master s degree in nursing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She lives in Lafayette with her husband.
