About the Author, B Sudhakara Reddy
Since 2000, I have been a Professor of Energy and Environment at the Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research, Mumbai, India. I hold a Ph.D. in Energy Management from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India. Currently, I teach courses on Energy and Environment for the MSc and M.Phil/Ph.D students. Additionally, I have a great interest in the role that policies play in the development of society, an important topic for economists and engineers.
I was a naturally curious child fortunate to have an inspiring grandma. Equally fortunately, I had a mentor in Professor Amulya K.N.Reddy at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, who inspired me to focus on issues pertaining to Energy and Environment that affect the society every single day.
