Synopsis

George Ryga's The Ecstasy of Rita Joe is perhaps the best known contemporary Canadian play - a lyric documentary about a young Indian girl who comes to the city only to die on Skid Row, a victim of white man's violence and his paternalistic attitude toward Native Peoples.
