Synopsis

Edgar Badger loves summer and working in his garden

Edgar Badger sighed. Summer was over and it was time to put his garden to bed. But Edgar didn't want summer to end. So he went to bed instead. Can Edgar's friends cheer him up?

Children's Literature

Edgar Badger and Duncan Bear are friends, but enjoy quite a tumultuous relationship. They are constantly playing one-upmanship with each other. These books feature five short chapters of their adventures, and are written with the young primary reader in mind. All the characters are animals, colorfully illustrated on each page, and the text and vocabulary in each chapter is kept to a minimum. The books are part of a series of four about Edgar Badger. The young reader will find these and other "chapter books" an appealing strategy for promoting their reading enjoyment and skills.
