Educational Governance and Administration

Written for prospective administrators and supervisors, this textbook introduces the field of educational administration, primarily in reference to public schooling in the United States. A number of chapters trace the development of the field and then the roles of different institutional actors is explored. A major emphasis is placed on educational governance, with chapters on local, state, and federal levels of policymaking. Legal and financial considerations are left for the end of the text.
