About the Author, Taira Shigesuke

Taira Shigesuke originally documented the tenets of Bushido, the Japanese warrior constructs, 400 years ago. Thomas Cleary is the translator of The Art of War, The Book of Five Rings, The Flower Ornament Scripture, The Japanese Art of War, Opening the Dragon Gate, and The Story of Chinese Zen. He lives in Oakland, California.
