Overview

Divided into three sections: Book of Examples of El Conde Lucanor; Patronio, Book of Proverbs; and Book of Doctrines. The examples follow a pattern in which El Conde Lucanor poses a problem to his adviser, Patronio, who then addresses it by telling an unrelated story. Each example goes from story telling, to educating, to ending with a moral lesson.
