Synopsis

THE GCSE KITS cover the core elements of the new GCSE English and English Literature specifications, from the four main examination boards. Each of the three books has a variety of photocopiable resources, schemes of work, teacher's guidance and a table showing examination board requirements. Echoing the successful style of THE KEY STAGE 3 ENGLISH KITS, THE GCSE KITS can be used to supplement many schemes of work at GCSE level, and to adapt existing courses to the new specifications. As the title suggests, each unit is complete in itself, but can be developed further with two additional units, the English and English Literature 'Toolkit' resources. GCSE KIT: ENGLISH LITERATURE POST-1914 covers twelve of the most popular texts set by the four main examination boards, including three literary non-fiction texts. The resources cover a wide range, from card games to writing frames, and include both examination-style questions for both foundation-tier and higher-tier students, and broader coursework assignments.
