Overview

"Environment and Politics is an introduction to the study of environmental politics, explaining the key concepts, conflicts, political systems and the practices of policy making. The authors examine a diverse range of environmental problems and policy solutions within different nations and cultures." Focusing on the multitude of green political responses that have emerged in the last decade to solve environmental problems worldwide, the book examines institutional responses of parliaments, administrative and electoral systems, the more informal politics of non-governmental organisations and social movements, and the politics of business as it responds to the greening of our society.
