Written and edited by two clinician-researchers, it is required reading for clinicians who want to add an important treatment to their therapeutic armamentarium. The book is a welcome addition to the field.
Purpose:The purpose, according to the editors, is "...to bring our enthusiasm for integrating hypnosis with empirically supported methods to a wide readership and to move hypnosis securely into the mainstream of established clinical practice." Indeed, the editors have produced a valuable and informative guide for the practitioner.
Audience:The intended audience includes both novices to hypnosis and advanced practitioners.
