About the Author, Lorrie Lynch

Lorrie Lynch is USA Weekend's people columnist, voice of the magazine's best-read feature, Who's News. She's a senior editor and experienced pop culture writer whose work has been honored by the National Society of Newspaper Columnists. Lynch is one of USA Today's founding members. As an editor in the newspaper's Life section, she covered national stories and Washington politics. She was San Francisco Bureau Chief from 1982-1985 and reported the beginning of the AIDS crisis. In addition, Lynch has 10 years of experience at newspapers in California and Michigan, where she has won several news and feature writing awards. Lynch is also an adjunct professor in the School of Communication at American University in Washington, D.C., where she has taught Writing for Mass Communication and Entertainment Communication. She has been a visiting professor at Central Michigan University where she introduced a course in Celebrity Journalism.
