Faith

Jewish thinkers throughout the ages have been as passionate in their concern about the meaning and nature of faith as Christian theologians. Louis Jacobs was Rabbi at New London Synagogue until his death in 2006. In the year of his death he was voted "Greatest British Jew" by a poll of Jewish Chronicle Readers conducted to mark the 350th anniversary of the entry of the Jews into England under Oliver Cromwell.
