Description:This series of anatomical charts and figures intended as a desk reference for patient education are based upon the classic Frank Netter illistrations, supplemented by those of Dr Fred Ferri. It is an absolutely tremendous educational aid.
Purpose:Although this is primarily a patient education aid, it does have significant value in medical student education and as an illustration of the clinical application of traditional anatomy. The illustrations are some of the best in the world, are intuitive because of their simplicity, and complete.
Audience:Everyone with any interest in medicine can benefit from these illustrations.
Features:There is very little text, although there are some useful patient education aids such as "Managing Your Low Back Pain" and other orthopedic aids. The color artwork is some of the best available in the world.
Assessment:This is a very worthwhile addition to every primary care office. The illustrations cover the vast majority of the reasons patients seek medical care and help explain conditions with very good visuals for the patient.
