About the Author, Joe Torelli

Joseph Torelli has worked in the broadcast news business for over thirty years, first as editor and cameraman for NBC News and later as Chief Editor—Broadcast at Avid Technology. He received the prestigious J. Winton Lemen Fellowship Award from the National Press Photographers Association for his outstanding work in the development of non-linear video editing systems for TV news operations and his commitment to the NPPA, photojournalists, and photojournalism. He currently oversees the implementation of Apple server-based production tools by major broadcasters and studios.
